Outdoor weddings can be really beautiful and enthralling. An opportunity to make use of nature’s natural décor, but as beautiful as nature can be, it can also be unpredictable and end terribly sometimes.
So here are five mistakes brides make that you shouldn’t make.
Let’s get right into it.
Having just one plan: There should be a Plan B, a Plan C if you can afford it. With global warming, the weather can be so unpredictable. It can either get too hot and your guests will burn or too cold, they could freeze… or it could rain. Just be prepared for any eventualities. You can ask for a Sun-roof tent that the top can be taken off or put back at any time.
Using Regular Buttercream Icing on your cake: Try using fondant or any other type of icing that can withstand extreme weather conditions. Or better still, if you want your dream wedding cake in buttercream to get a tent for the cake, But even if you get a cake tent, one hour in Dubai in its off-season will still melt this cake. So try to be safe out there.
Wrong Food Choices: This is not the wedding to whip out that special cheese entrée. It will work against you. Try going with foods with a lot of juices in them and foods that can be eaten cold. Your guests shouldn’t be eating hot foods under the sun.
Wearing the wrong dress: This is not the kind of wedding to go all Cinderella. Try something bohemian, something soft, that can slide easily on your skin. Heavy fabric will work against you so try to be lenient with the mass of fabric you will be putting on.
Starting too early in the day: Don’t start at noon when the sun is at its peak, making it an evening affair. Dehydrated guests make very uncomfortable guests.
Thank you for your time,
Until next time,
